The Best of October happens only with Conqueror!
Arjowiggins Fine Papers – the makers of Conqueror held its "2008 Conqueror Oktoberbest" at Star Billiards Center inside the Star Paper Corporation compound last October 24, 2008. In line with the traditional Oktoberfest, the event was themed just like a street party wherein enthusiasts from different advertising agencies, printers and end-users enjoyed a night full of fun and excitement.
The event was concentrated on two highlights, The 2nd Conqueror Pool Challenge, following its impressive offshoot last April 2007, and the launch of Arjowiggins' new paper collection, Curious Skin, which would surely amaze designers and printers alike with its unique touch and vibrant colors.
This year's Conqueror Pool Challenge was again joined by 47 players from different companies. Cash prizes at stake, P15,000 for the Champion and P10,000 for the 1st runner up, excited our participants. In the end, two names made a mark, Jay Dulla from Richmonde Hotel as the 2nd Conqueror Pool Champion and Paul Martin Reyes of QP Designs Enterprises as the 1st Runner up.
The launch of the new paper, Curious Skin, astonished attendees with a fashion show of lovely models wearing outfits with accents made from paper, the Curious Skin Collection, to highlight its different shades. Everyone was also amazed with the "Human Gallery", where printed samples from the new paper collection are showcased.
The fun and excitement didn't just stop there, as everyone were pampered with buffet dinner, midnight snacks, overflowing drinks, raffle and giveaways.
